- I have been playing music since I was 6 years old, writing, recording, and performing since 22...that makes for many years and many influences through the years (since I am 50 at this writing).
I would say the greatest influence musically for me has been The Beatles...in that the songwriting was the key for them. If one studies the four, it becomes clear that thier dedication to producing original music was enormous...FACT: between 1962 and 1966 (when they stopped touring) the four were in the studio 40% of the time. This figure includes sleeping time, i.e., counting ALL hours (24 hours a day) they were in the studio 40% of the time - an incredible number on its own, not to mention those hours do not include live performance time and the hours of associated travel.
Truly, theirs was a significant dedication to producing original music.
In a miniscule and infinitely less significant manner, SWConcepts is an attempt at producing orginal "Music From The Heart...Not The Record Company"

- SWConcepts is the musical expression of Warren Phillip Strand. SWConcepts released its first album in 2005 on the Stranded Wolf Records (Indie) label. There exists a common thread running through all three albums that can best be described as a "synergy of electronica and rock." All songs are originals from Warren, who also performs all instruments and vocals.
