Day after day

This month has been full of days of special meaning. It started with my friends at midsummer solstice having a blast down at Stonehenge with thirty thousand other revellers out all night in the rain partying till the sun came up. Next up was my fiancees' birthday on that day I sold the last of my motorbikes to a bloke who called out of the blue. I had been getting anxious as I needed a quick sale before my move to the States, of which my interview for the visa was imminent. Then there was Guilfest. I had been wondering what to do as I was looking for some temporary work before the move to America and as if from nowhere I was randomly emailed inviting me to work at a music festival in Surrey which came at just the right time and boy what a job; being paid to watch some of Britains best comedians and even kicking one of the band members from the Levellers out of the back stage area was topper! The first dayworking at the festival was Independence day in America when they celebrate getting rid of us Brits and here am Ia week away from applying at the American consular to live there, the day before the interview was my late fathers birthday and the day itself was not only Saint Swithens' day (and for those who know about St Swithens it bloomin well rained in parts of England which is not lucky at all, but not on me as the sun shined all day!), but it was also Bastille day over the channel in France. So I guess it was a fortunate day for me as they gave me the all clear! I'm almost ready to go, We've a few more forms to fill in yet and we will at last have my visa "Hoorargh!"
