The day before yesterday was just another normal summer day for the little town of Leatherhead, but yesterday in Leatherhead we were invaded by a swarm, no rather a plague of flying ants. Over night the air had become thick with a mass of creepy crawlies. People in the streets going about their daily life were doing the Tango, Foxtrot and Boogie woogie in an attempt to avoid, not only treading one the wee beasties, but swallowing a good dozen at a time and getting them firmly stuck in their hair… Continue

This month has been full of days of special meaning. It started with my friends at midsummer solstice having a blast down at Stonehenge with thirty thousand other revellers out all night in the rain partying till the sun came up. Next up was my fiancees' birthday on that day I sold the las… Continue

I have recently finished recording 2 Yazoo tracks. The songs covered are "Goodbye 70's" and "Too Pieces" both tracks originally appeared on Yazoo's debut album "Upstairs At Erics". In my versions I have tried to keep as faithful to the original versions.
I hope you like my take on these 2 classic Yazoo tracks.

After a few fraught weeks of computer malfunction The Electric Teaparty Podcast Number Three is finally up. I have had two power units blow up on my normally sturdy and reliable G5, so I have been down to email and small jobs for over a fortnight. Apologies to everyone expecting something from me ... I promise that I am now on the case and will be delivering what I have promised to you very soon. ...

So, if blogs are your cup of tea, and you're into RSS feeds and all of that, I've got some bad news for you. I don't do any of those things to let you know when I've got some new songs or essays or whatever.
BUT!!!
I do send out a newsletter about once every two months. (Is that "bi-monthly"? Or does bi-monthly mean twice a month? I never can get that straight.)
It's pretty fun, and some people have actually described it as "more like a blog than a newsletter" because, in addition to u… Continue

2 new songs uploaded to my playlist, melancholy and jawnmower. be sure and check them out if you haven't on myspace already. jawnmower is an indian-influenced electronica track, complete with zither, tabla, and an indian woman singing. it's pretty hot, if i do say so myself. (sorry about the dumb name. i like to play with words.) melancholy is just that, a melancholy piece with an intricate piano line, booming drums, and nice synth lines. hope you all enjoy!

Hello Everyone!
In this so called web 2.0 revolution a lot of different things happened in several and differentiated quadrants of on line activities and resources. In what touches to the Internet Music World, some good new approaches are making all the difference for the world wide music labor force..the musicians.
For example the Ning communities, that allowed a lot of indie promoters to achieve their place and express their visions to the music world. The revolution of mentalities that is c… Continue

There are also 2 electronic cover versions of the classic Joy Division tracks "She's Lost Control" and "Love Will Tear Us Apart", which are getting some excellent positive acclaim.

I have just added a brand new track called "I Remember You" to the player on my page. The song is heavily influenced by Gary Numan's early work, most notably his "Telekon" album. For the first time on one of my own compositions I have recorded my own vocals. The lyrics I have written are also very "Gary Numan".
This is the third Gary Numan themed track I have recorded the others being "Rewind To Zero" and "I Once Was A machine" both of which were instrumentals. I have also recently recorded 3 G… Continue

Another month has come and gone. So many things to report on!
First of all, my grandma had the shunt inserted. She’s doing well. Now it’s a matter of watching the process reverse itself so she’s back to as close to normal as possible. It’s been a long and bumpy ride, to be sure. Some days are filled with absolute insanity, while others are so close to normal, you really couldn’t tell the difference. As for what I’ve been doing musically, here comes the rundown.
When I last wrote, my work cente… Continue

Fortunately, the last few weeks have been much easier in the department of my being able to create. Chalk it up to luck that some music came together through the ups and downs. As for grandma’s health issues, it will be several weeks before the shunt is inserted.
