very impressive tracks you have their. nice one.
Just listening to your music again..seeing how your music is developing.
one thing i like about ALL of your work is the structure, and the intro's, you really know how to get a persons head a nodding, shame you live on the other side of the world, cos i'd love to meet you !!
I agree with Qubenzis below, your music is very diverse..i lost my multiband compresser due to a hacker, but i used to value it dearly, certainly worth having a look into using one though!!
'BASIC' is an awesome track!!
your music if played out would keep the dance floor engaged..you know when to take out elements, and you bring them in at the right time.
keep on doing it baby..your going to go places (if you havn't already!!)
Finally set aside some time to listen through what you're actually are up to. Conclusion; you are enormously productive. So many great themes and songs. And then the writing too...
I will try to give you some constructive critics in order to improve the sound. Some of your harder percussive sounds have a slight distortion. When dealing with the bass frequencies try to slope them in the lower end (cut out freq below about 30 - 35hz). Will guarantee an absolutely rumble free sound on any system, also when loudness is applied. Then, additionally, you can use multiband compression (VST, wave plugins) when mastering in order to avoid any specific frequencies to take over the sound picture. Should be used carefully though.
Also try to individually compress/limit the more powerful percussion sounds (and basses) more. Will allow them to seem loud and powerful yet contained and clean without distorting. I was recently tipped to use the VST plugin called MaxxBass on my basses in order to make them more wide and round. It amplifies the sound one octave higher (creates harmonics) which gives more spectrum left for the Kick to come through. Well, then comes the Kick stuff.. where the same applies (compression, sloping).
And finally, try to avoid any type of 'red lining' (peaking). Keep those meters below peak level as a thumb of rule, always. Even if it momentarily sounds good in your system it may freak other sound systems...
Your music grooves, sure do. Keep that endless flow flowing...
Just some thoughts passing through my mind while, by now, listening through your whole play list :-)
Thanks my friend in electronic sound,
