50 ARTIST COLLABORATION PROJECT

A giant music colaboration involving ALL of us.

Before any work is started on this though, i am first going to get the 'podcasters'/'Internet radio stations' group set up on here...so there's plenty of time for this project to 'take off'..no rush on this !!

What i am proposing is to get each artist from this site, to create ..

1(OR MORE): Drum Loop

1: (OR MORE)Synth Pattern/Riff

1: (OR MORE)Percussion Loop

1: (OR MORE)'Effects' loop

Vocals will also be needed !!

It doesn't matter what key your riffs are in, but i think it would help if any drum loops could be kept to 140 BPM (seems like a happy medium as a BPM)

Each artist involved will be invited to join a group on the network which is designed to host the various riffs..click here once you are ready to start uploading your riffs

PLEASE RENDER YOUR RIFFS TO WAV FORMAT BEFORE SUBMITTING THEM

if you are unable to convert any riffs to wav format heres a link for you to download the relevant s/w so that you can. SWITCH

Once you've joined the 'other' group, there will be instructions on how to add your riffs to the collection.

Then once each artist involved has uploaded thier riffs,I am going to create another group so that the files are all in one place. Then some of us might want to go one step further and create a track using ...

AT LEAST ONE SAMPLE FROM EACH ARTIST (IMPORTANT)

However if you simply just want to upload your riffs, and not bother about creating a track from them, that's also great.

Depending on how many 'full tracks' have created, we can upload our finished articles either here, or on our profiles, and once this is done, we could then create a 30-40 minute 'mix' blending together the tracks that have been produced .

The only issue i can see with this is that if lots of artists create 'a track' from the samples, we might have an issue with having too many tracks to use for a 30-40 minute mix, but we can cross that bridge when/if we come to it :)

Once we have an audience in terms of podcasters/internet stations, and if all ears are listening, then i'll try to get some media attention on this, and maybe even some celebrities

BUT I WILL NEED YOU HELP ON THAT ONE, AS MANY BLOGS AS YOU CAN FIND TIME FOR, AND LET AS MANY OF YOUR CONTACTS KNOW ABOUT THIS AS IS POSSIBLE.

The more people know about this the better, and the bigger we can make this....lets face it if nothing elese this would be great fun...
