This is its a giant Music collaboration between all of us and i hope you want to take part, coz it's going to be fun!!! The Idea to create a track using riffs from as many artists as possible

Ok boys and girls ..here's the idea.
If your intersted in this please click on 'join group' im aiming to get 50 artists involved
A giant music colaboration involving ALL of us.
What i am proposing is to get each artist from this site, to create ..
1(OR MORE): Drum Loop
1: (OR MORE)Synth Pattern/Riff
1: (OR MORE)Percussion Loop
1: (OR MORE)'Effects' loop
Vocals will also be needed !!
It doesn't matter what key your riffs are in is 'C' a happy medium ?, but i think it would help if any drum loops could be kept to 140 BPM (seems like a happy medium as a BPM too)
Each artist involved will be invited to join a group on the network which is designed to host the various riffs..click here once you have finished creating your riffs, and i'll recieve your request to join the group where all the various riffs are being stored
PLEASE RENDER YOUR RIFFS TO WAV FORMAT BEFORE SUBMITTING THEM
if you are unable to convert any riffs to wav format heres a link for you to download the relevant s/w so that you can. SWITCH
Once you've joined the 'other' group, there will be instructions on how to add your riffs to the collection. and how to download the other artists riffs
Once we reach Jan 1st 2009 (or whenever my head floats back down to near normality after the festivities???..and before???, then i'll stop accepting riffs/samples, and we can start to concentrate on creating something from the stash of riffs/samples we have.
we are going to stop accepting any more riffs/samples, and go about creating a track from them
AT LEAST ONE SAMPLE FROM EACH ARTIST (IMPORTANT), it doesn't matter how often you use each riff..that's up to you, as long as the finished article has something from EVERY ARTIST
However if you simply just want to upload your riffs, and not bother about creating a track from them, that's also great.
Once we are as far as having 'Track's' created from the various riffs/loops...let ME know about it..and i'll upload it here
The only issue i can see with this is that if lots of artists create 'a track' from the samples, we might have an issue with having too many tracks to use for a 30-40 minute mix, but we can cross that bridge when/if we come to it :)
Once we have an audience in terms of podcasters/internet stations, and if all ears are listening, then i'll try to get some media attention on this, and maybe even some celebrities
BUT I WILL NEED YOU HELP ON THAT ONE, AS MANY BLOGS AS YOU CAN FIND TIME FOR, AND LET AS MANY OF YOUR CONTACTS KNOW ABOUT THIS AS IS POSSIBLE.
The more people know about this the better, and the bigger we can make this....lets face it if nothing elese this would be great fun...

OK, we are in. I (Ditch) will get the riffs and so on done later and if you want some vocals or gutiars on the finished thang, Dawny is more than up for it- we need a break from the new record!
Okay, I'll go and see what iI need to do next and doooo it.
